Android Nougat : Earlier much anticipated name Android Nutella which was rumoured for the name of Android N is false.

Increased Quick Setting Options in Android Nougat

Now in Android N we can go to Quick Settings when we slide down the notifications bar down and in it there is a thin strip of toggles in which you can see up to nine toggles in a single Quick Settings screen, and can access more of the toggles by swiping to the right instead of switching them on or off by tapping on them previously in the earlier Android versions.

Recent Apps Tray and high Multi-tasking in Android Nougat

Android Nougat is equipped with a multi-window mode which lets you to split your screen and do two tasks at one go. The recent apps menu in Android Nougat has also been revised, reinforced and improved.
Like Earlier, tapping the square button will bring up all recent apps, But if you double tap the square button you can quickly switch between your current app and the one which you were using earlier.

Blocking Numbers, Messages and Call Screening  in Android Nougat

Blocking numbers in Android Nougat will now be operated on a system level, blacklisted contacts will be blocked from both calling and texting with Android Nougat as it allows users to block phone numbers at the system level, directly from applications.
If a number has been blocked at system level , other apps on the device will also block it without any action required from the user’s end which is a move which will totally remove their presence from your phone.

But if you don’t want this total ignorance to blocked numbers, you can use ‘call screening’ which can simply reject specific calls and also not record them in the call log or stop them from showing up in the Notification Bar .

Lock Screen with Quick Reply in Android Nougat

Browse to Settings > Notifications > Settings > On the lock screen to set your preferences which can be very handy and fast for Quick reply but also it allows a stranger to reply from your device which is not profitable.

Emergency Info placed on your Lock Screen in Android Nougat

Android Nougat makes you able to add your medical info on the lock screen itself in case of an emergency it can be activated by browsing to Settings »Users» Emergency Information Option.

Fill the necessary details including your name, aaddress, allergies and other essential information that may be required to find your identity at the time of any accident, miss happening and also add an emergency contact for a good measure, but yeah if your phone gets stolen all info can go viral too.

Notifications Panel gets a New Makeover  in Android Nougat

Android Nougat features a new notification status bar. Instead of all the rectangular like notifications being separated by a small blank space, they will now be displayed in a single white page separated by a small gray type line.
This gives a pretty cleaner, smooth design and interface and a lot less cluttered. Android Nougat that allows developers to bundle and group notifications, if you receive a number of messages at one time, your device will put those notifications together in a single card to save room in the notification panel which was not in the previous versions

Better Battery Life in Android Nougat

Android Nougat is equipped with a new Data Saver feature. When this setting is enabled, it will stop background syncing from taking place except when connected to a Wi-Fi.
Data Saver blocks background activity from exhausting your smartphone’s battery Doze, a feature that was introduced in Android Marshmallow 6.0 , gets a few betterments.

New Improvised Doze Mode in Android Nougat

Doze Mode, has also been improved in the Android Nougat . It now features a two-tier system. The first operates whenever the screen has been off for some time , whether your phone is stationary or not.
This means now you can enjoy Doze Mode anytime your phone is not being used, even when it is kept in your pocket or anywhere else. The other feature is when your phone is lying still, it will enter into a deeper hibernation mode which will save battery.

Google Keyboard has New Themes in Android Nougat

Google keyboard is added with a bunch of new colourful theme options in which there are some samples available for you to choose between or you can even set your own background image for the keyboard which is a nice feature than all white and dark shades earlier used by it previous versions of Android OS .
