Set in a hypothetical world that resembles video game systems, complete with ‘levels’ and quests posted on an inn’s bulletin board.

Except for the fact that they are both action anime produced by ufotable, the Fate series has little in common with Demon Slayer. The Holy Grail War, a battle royale in which mages call heroes from history to fight until only one is left standing, is the plot of Fate/Zero and Fate/stay the night. In their portrayals of most of its characters, the shows are violent, complex, and ambiguous.

Despite having little in common in terms of storyline or theme, Demon Slayer and Fate are excellent companion pieces because they both exhibit ufotable’s near-unrivaled ability to animate visceral and seamless action sequences.

In this fictional world, the monsters are colossal. At first glance, Attack On Titan may appear to be rather different from Demon Slayer. When it comes down to it, however, Attack on Titan: Demon Slayer is more or less the same. In this action-packed Seinen anime, the last walled human city is under siege by man-eating Titans, and only the sword-wielding heroes can save them… but victory comes at a heavy cost.
