In its August 2017 edition, Shogakukan’s Monthly Shonen Sunday magazine announced an anime television series adaptation. Shin-Ei Animation’s Hiroaki Akagi directed the series, which included Michiko Yokote’s screenplays and Aya Takano’s character designs. From January 8 through March 26, 2018, a total of eight episodes aired on Tokyo MX and other stations. The anime was simulcast on Crunchyroll, while Funimation streamed it with an English dub.
