In its August 2017 edition, Shogakukan’s Monthly Shonen Sunday magazine announced an anime television series adaptation. Shin-Ei Animation’s Hiroaki Akagi directed the series, which included Michiko Yokote’s screenplays and Aya Takano’s character designs. From January 8 through March 26, 2018, a total of eight episodes aired on Tokyo MX and other stations. The anime was simulcast on Crunchyroll, while Funimation streamed it with an English dub. The series consisted of 12 episodes. “Iwanai Kedo ne.” is by Yuiko *hara as the opening theme. On July 12, 2018, the manga’s ninth volume was accompanied by an OVA episode.
