Gundam Movie: News & Latest Updates

The feature film hails mostly from legendary, which is re-teaming with Roberts after the Kong: Skull Island and box office success of its recent Godzilla versus Kong. So, the last time we have heard of anything about the live-action Gundam movie is that the last man writer Brian K Vaugh is handling the screenplay and executive producing it.

It was announced on 13 April 2024 that Kong: Skull Island will adapt a live-action Gundam movie on Netflix. This pretty exciting news and obviously this is something that we had known was coming but we just didn’t know who was going to be partnering with legendary on this.

A lot of times legendary makes the movies but they partner with a distributor and it’s interesting they went to Netflix. Because this could signal a larger deal between legendary and Netflix. Previously, they tried to get rights to stream Godzilla versus Kong on Netflix before Warner Media shot that idea down and put it on its own streaming service, HBO Max.
