The plot of Solo Leveling is centered around Sung Jin-woo who is the weakest hunter in South Korea. He is just a little stronger than the average human. Jin-woo belongs to the lowest ranks of hunters in the country. One day, he and his fellow hunters find themselves confined in an extremely lethal and rare dual dungeon. Not everyone survives, but Jin-woo somehow manages to escape. When he wakes up, he realizes that he had died, but since he managed to complete all the trials in the dungeon, he had become a reawakened player.
Jin-woo can now see the interface which shows him quests, stats, inventory, store, and levels, along with the unique ability to grow exceptionally stronger. Sung Jin-Woo then embarks on a journey to become the strongest hunter in the world and in turn discover the mysteries of the world of monsters. What happened in Chapter 162 of Solo Leveling?
In Solo Leveling Chapter 162, Shadow Monarch reveals his true story and how he came to be to Sung Jinwoo. Long ago, there lived a king who created both the light and dark. The light and dark were always engaged in undying battles and both sides suffered numerous losses. Both of them were equally powerful and none of the sides was able to win over the other. When the chances of winning looked slim, the light’s side went to the king seeking his help to defeat their rivals.
But the king seemed apathetic to this request and the light’s side had to leave in vain. They come to the realization that the king who was responsible for creating both of them, didn’t want to see either of the sides claim victory. He wanted them to keep on fighting each other. So, together the light and dark decide to attack the King and destroy him.
But one person from the light’s side opposed this decision and wanted to protect the king. He attacks the others and kills several people. That is when he realizes that the king had placed his powers within him and he had obtained a massive amount of power and had now become the Shadow Monarch. He commands “ARISE” and all those who were killed by his hands wake up and become his army. With his newfound powers and a massive army, he fights the others and obtains victory. After that, he goes to the king for his aide. But he arrives to find out that the King has been killed.
