This week’s Weekly Shonen Jump issue not only brought out the latest Demon Slayer chapter but two bonus exciting news with it. The Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump issue 16 recently announced that the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba will be receiving a PlayStation 4 game titled Kimetsu no Yaiba: Hinokami Keppūtan.

Kimetsu no Yaiba: Hinokami Keppūtan Release Date

Aniplex will publish the game and will release it in 2021. The announcement didn’t mention the exact release date.

Aniplex describes the game as “demon-killing competitive action”. Magazine teases that players will be able to play the game as Tanjirō Kamado. The announcement didn’t release any screenshot or images from the game and also did not reveal the developer.

The announcement also mentioned that the series is receiving a smartphone mobile game titled Kimetsu no Yaiba: Keppu Kengeki RoyaleDemon Slayer: Blood-Stench Blade Royale.

Again Aniplex will distribute and publish the game for Android and IOS users in 2020. Aniplex describes the game as an “asymmetrical survival action game” that pits teams of demon slayers and demons against each other, with players doing battle in settings from the story using various skills and characters.

About Kimetsu no Yaiba (Demon Slayer)

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is a Japanese manga series by Koyoharu Gotoge published in the 11th issue of 2016’s Weekly Shounen Jump. The manga is published in English by Viz Media.

Ufotable produced a 25- episode anime adaptation. A sequel Demon Slayer: Infinity Train film is in production.

The story takes place in the Taisho era in Japan. Tanjirou is a kindhearted young boy who lived peacefully with his family as a coal seller. Their normal life changes completely when his family is slaughtered by demons.

The only other survivor, Tanjirou’s younger sister Nezuko, has become a ferocious demon.

In order to return Nezuko to normal and get revenge on the demon that killed their family, the two of them depart on a journey. From a young talent, an adventure tale of blood and swords begins!
