We already told you this, but putting it out there just in case. This series was originally being released on Fox on the 25th of January, 2016. The Fox production canceled the show after season 3 but thanks to Netflix it took on the production and gave us this amazing cinematic experience.
The production of this show was hampered when the global pandemic hit us and the show only gave us eight episodes in season 5. The rest of the episodes along with the last season’s production was finished after the shooting resumed in September 2020.

What is there to look forward to in Lucifer season 5b?
According to CBR.com Lucifer co-showrunner Joe Henderson says season 5b and season 6 will be “wildly different” from each other while still contributing to the same story.
As we heard from Lucifer co-showrunner Joe Henderson in an interview with a word balloon. He said “I love them both in different ways. Season 5b is big and epic. Season 6 is sweet and personal. I don’t even know how to compare them. They’re so wildly different, and yet so very much of a whole. They’re very much part of a story going on.”
Further, into the interview, Henderson said, “Every season of Lucifer completes the story, but also teases something to come. And that is something we have done every single season. We are wrapping up season 5. We are going to finish that story, but like any good serial storytelling, you’re gonna wanna come back for season 6, and we will give you a pretty good reason.”
Let’s hear what DB Woodside (playing Amenadiel) had to say in an interview with TVLine, ” When God comes, a lot of chaos is going to follow. We pick up literally two seconds from where we ended, and Amenadiel is absolutely humiliated that God saw him behaving the way that he was with his brothers because as the oldest, he’s really supposed to be the one that sets the example- and he was not doing that!”
We can expect a lot of strict behavior from God towards Amenadiel, and we shall not forget about the musical episode.
